Heart to Heart Communications - Enriching Lives at Work.

       That person is a success...
who has lived well, laughed often
     and loved much;
who has gained the respect of intelligent people,
     and the love of children;
who has filled a unique niche
     and accomplished his or her task;
who leaves the world better than before,
     whether by a perfect poem or a rescued soul;
who never lacked appreciation of the earth's beauty
     or failed to express it;
who looked for the best in others
     and gave the best he or she had.

Adapted from the work of
Robert Louis Stevenson

Humility is perpetual quietness of the heart.  It is to have no trouble. It is never to be fretted or vexed, irritable or sore, to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing against me.  It is to be at rest when nobody praises me and, when I am blamed or despised, it is to have a blessed home in myself where I can go in and shut the door, and kneel to my Father in secret, and be at peace, as in a deep sea of calmness when all around and about is seeming trouble.
